How to Help Your Child Be Physically Active

Sufficient physical activity is needed for a child to grow healthy and strong. If you’ve noticed that your child isn’t as physically active as he or she should be, you need to do something about it. Tell your child that you’re having a good time and explain why. This is a slower but healthier approach that helps your child associate exercise with fun.

Try Different Activities

Experiment with different activities ranging from light to moderate exercise. Dancing, sports, and even stretching are all things you should try with your child. If your child expresses an interest in a certain activity, nurture that curiosity and encourage it. If you can, enroll them in classes, but don’t force them to continue if they decide they don’t like it.

Talk to the doctor about other things you can do to help your child move more. There may be some nutritional deficiencies present that cause mild fatigue.
